[NL] Van 25 tot en met 27 september 2020 stond Den Haag in het teken van mode dankzij The Fashion Weekend. Met catwalkshows, tentoonstellingen, film en workshops.
Tijdens modeshows in The Student Hotel toonden 20 Haagse modetalenten hun collecties. Van couture tot streetwear kwam voorbij. De shows waren ook te volgen op de LED trap van Spuimarkt aan de Grote Marktstraat.
Op de mode-expositie, met werk van diverse Haagse ontwerpers en jurken uit het archief van het Kunstmuseum in het Venduehuis kwamen veel bezoekers af. Zo waren er ontwerpen te zien van modeontwerpers zoals Peter George d’Angelino Tap, Michelangelo Winklaar, Frank Govers, Maison de Bonneterie en Yamuna Forzani.
De upcycled modeworkshop in samenwerking met Madurodam, de etalages van Uniqlo met de upcycled collectie van studenten van ROC Mondriaan en de documentaire ‘Martin Margiela; in his own words’ zorgde voor een mooie afsluiting van deze eerste editie van The Fashion Weekend.
[ENG] From 25 to 27 September 2020, The Fashion Weekend, The Hague was all about fashion. With catwalk shows, exhibitions, film and workshops.
During fashion shows in The Student Hotel, 20 fashion talents from The Hague showed their collections. From couture to streetwear came along. The shows could also be followed on the LED staircase of Spuimarkt on the Grote Marktstraat.
The fashion exhibition, with work by various designers from The Hague and dresses from the archives of the Kunstmuseum in the Venduehuis, attracted many visitors. Designs by fashion designers such as Peter George d’Angelino Tap, Michelangelo Winklaar, Frank Govers, Maison de Bonneterie and Yamuna Forzani were on display.
The upcycled fashion workshop in collaboration with Madurodam, the shop windows of Uniqlo with the upcycled collection of ROC Mondriaan students and the documentary ‘Martin Margiela; in his own words’ provided a nice finale to this first edition of The Hague Fashion Weekend.
